An overview of enforcement actions: a new TobaccoIntelligence tracker

TobaccoIntelligence is introducing a new enforcement tracker that will collate online accounts of regulator action on illicit e-cigarettes and other alternative nicotine products.

Data is gathered by TobaccoIntelligence’s analysts on a daily basis through the use of manual and AI scanning of news sources, Google alerts and Tobacco Watcher alerts. These sources cover local news primarily – though also include official press releases or regulatory notifications.

The enforcement tracker will provide an excellent broad overview of trends in enforcement action; however, it is not an exhaustive collection of all relevant actions in all jurisdictions. The overall mix of reports tracked in the document reflect differing levels of information based on general culture, accessibility and language.
